We would like to advise our readers that in several of our articles, after The Prophet Muhammad's name instead of writing sallallahu alaihi wa sallam you may see (saw), (saws), or (pbuh). Please be advised that we see no issue with using an abbreviated version of this as all Muslims should be aware of the requirement for them to say sallallahu alaihi wa sallam after his name. This is also the case for all of the other Prophets (peace be upon them) where you will perhaps see 'as' (Alayhi Salaam)

We pray that Allah, Almighty, record this effort as a good deed, done in defence of His religion (Islam) and solely for His pleasure, and that He make it reach and benefit those who need it most, and overlook our shortcomings and cover us all with his mercy in this world and purify us for the hereafter, Ameen

We are encouraged to send wishes of peace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a sign of love and to show respect for the high status he has amongst the whole of creation. Again, where we talk about the previous Prophets such as Jesus, Moses or Ibrahim (peace be upon them all) we indicate this by wishing peace and blessings upon them. Although at first appearance, this may seem to be a little odd, when we think of special things said to important people such as the Queen (your Royal Highness) or an Ambassador (Your Excellency), it is a beautiful indication of the love we hold for the most important person to us and his humbleness by simply wishing him peace and the blessings of Allah almighty. It also shows our gratitude to him (and the other Prophets) for the task he carried in bringing the weighty message of Islam to us and the hardships he endured in doing so.

May Allah swt send peace and blessings upon all of His Prophets. Ameen.
