Assalamu alaikum

This was an excellent event and I am glad we attended. Shaykh Ruzwan's talk was excellent as always, with little gems such as the mention of the poetry of Fatimah (may Allah swt be pleased with her) and the description of the status that the Prophet pbuh had with those closest to him.

Shaykh AbdulAziz's talk, based on the Qasidah Burdah, was also excellent and insightful, giving a better understanding of the context of Muhammad (peace be upon Him)  as the Sayyid of the two worlds, this one and the next. The Sayyid being not just the 'master' but the one who you go to with your problems, the one who has the status or the ability to help people and sort out their issues. The Prophet (pbuh) handled the affairs of both worlds with the revelation of Allah swt and will do so again on the day of resurrection when he is granted the maqam al mahmood insha'Allah - the high status where He pbuh will be able to intercede with Allah swt on behalf of his community.
