31 Arlington; New Opportunity
Assalamualaikum /Hi to everyone.
As I mentioned on Wednesday about a great opportunity given to us by Imam Mustaqeem and his people i.e. to use 31 Arlington street for any activities we would like as long as they are halal. I have been praying for this and alhamduliLlah allah answered us. You cant find something better than this. Full access to the place at any time?!!! Thats just wonderful may Allah reward these people.
What's next is to come up with things that we would really like to see them happening. Let's think outside the box, how can we be Muslims at the same enjoy our lives? Priority is given to reverts or new to Islam people or people interested in Islam. What do you guys really want? A simple question but it can change the whole situation.
Anyway I came up with some ideas especially putting in mind that different people have got different interests and different free times: The following are the suggestion for the week:
Monday Meet our heroes(reverts); Reverts will prepare a short talk of 5-10 min and present it to us
Tuesday Quran circle; free informal discussions to understand the Quran supported by the sunnah (no talks)
Wednesday New to Islam meetings as usual
Thursay We fast together during the day and break the fast together to have the feeling of Ramadhan in us
Friday Friday night (Halal party night) and we will pray tahajjud (night prayer) together inshAllah
Saturday Saturday night (same as Friday night)
Sunday Day of rest
Please everyone get involved and if you have a different suggestion, feel free to raise it up so that we can discuss. Dont ever think your opinion isnt important because you might be suprised that it could be something that would make someone comfortable in Islam and hence that becomes your sadaqat aljariyah( continous charity). Otherwise if you agree with the above mentioned things then think of the things we could do for example during Friday and Saturday nights.

One more thing we need to know is that if people are not interested then I will have to return the key to the Imaam, in other words I mean everyone needs to participate in any way they like.

Assalamualaikum again
AlhamduliLLah last night was our first night of our program. It was a pleasant one alhamduliLLah. As I said 2 heroes came; bro Sayyidna and bro Dale. 2 other brothers promised to come but I dont know what happened, hopefully they are fine. Imam Mustaqeem was also with us. Bro Yusuf couldnt come as they were committed. We discussed many things. Bro Dale suggested a prayer workshop. He was also busy removing viruses from Imam's PC lol, I didnt know he could fix computers. I ask everyone to call him if your computer is broken. The place was freezing because the heating system had a problem but hopefully Imam will fix it soon inshAllah. We had tea and cookies, I had too many cookies until my tummy complained 
Tonight as I said Farhad is coming inshAllah for the Quran discussion and he has no problem if sisters want to come along. Everyone has a chance to express their views afterall its a discussion not a lecture.
Brothers dont forget the swimming.

Ok Tuesday was beautiful especially with Farhad and bro Sayyidna, we had Farhad all for ourselves lol. He has a plan of topics to discuss but since not many of us were there he thought it would be better to start next week inshAllah. If you are interested let me know and I can send you a soft copy of his plan iA.
Last night Wedensday was also nice mashAllah as 2 non Muslim brothers came( i dont know about sisters) but I enjoyed it alot.
Anyway I cant keep posting here anymore, its so psychologically depressing as no one answers, its like talking to an idol. I really cant figure out what's people's reactions especially if I cant see them. I also dont want to come across as if I am being too pushy. I see 90 people viewed and 3 replied (all of them by myself only at different times)
So I guess you know where and how to find us; anytime you need us we will always be there for you inshAllah.

Ok we are meeting tonight in Arlington street at 6.30 until 8pm inshAllah I will be there from 6 inshAllah.
It's going to be a relaxed meeting where everyone (if they wish) will have a chance to give a small speech wihout an interruption. You can allow questions after your speech if you want. You dont have to answer all the questions.
The speech can be about anything that you strongly feel you would like to address people with. It could be anything; your journey to Islam, an issue affecting Muslims or generally humans or things to do with cultural issues, I personally would love to know more about Scottish, British or Western culture in general. But anything is fine.
We will also discuss about perfecting our services to Muslims especially reverts inshAllah. I really dont know exactly what to do for our Friday and Saturday nights sessions. So I am expecting your views! As I said I am not a revert nor from the West so as much as I am taking the lead in this, I still need you people for guidance. Lol I know Imam Mustaqeem doesnt like it when I say this but I am just being honest. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
Funny enough 1 brother has confirmed he is coming for tonight others havent so I dont know if thats a yes or a no. I will be positive and think its a yes
Tomorrow (Tuesday): Farhad who is an expert in the understanding of the Quran has confirmed he is coming inshAllah. It will be at 6 pm to 7.30 iA. He will give a very short introduction and then let everyone discuss as a group. Trust me he is really good at facilitating discussions. He may have to leave at 7.30 but we can stay for longer if we want to. And brothers dont forget the swimming for brothers only arranged by AlFurqan mosque between 9-10pm and its £2 per person. Make sure you bring your swimming kit like a descent short, towel, shower gel/shampoo e.t.c.
