salam brothers/sisters,
i was wondering what people think of the idea of having a website along with the forum here, kind of like http://www.glasgowmuslims.com/ or http://www.gumsa.co.uk or http://www.centralmosque.co.uk/cm/

i don't know if it would be necessary/useful? any thoughts?

thanks

I think it is a good idea, it will look good and be able to display more stuff in an attractive arrangement. that means it can have resources that can be accessed all the time.

Wa alaykum salam,
Just seen it. Good amount of information. If you decide to give it a new look (i.e. to make it like the websites mentioned in prior posts) then give us a shout, there are some free apps called 'cms's (content management systems) which allows you to make such a site with no coding in like 2 hours max.

Assalamu alaikum

The website is going to 'evolve' as we go along insha'Allah.

I've got a couple of easy tools to write the code etc, and have enjoyed learning about it as I go along. This version of the website is a lot better than the original (which I wrote in MS Word hehehehehe)

I like the look of the websites you mentioned, and I will come back to you after Ramadhan insha'Allah. We've also had some offers of help from some professional web designers mashAllah, so we might have a really fancy site in the near future insha'Allah.

JazakhAllah for your info
