IDEAS
As the yahoo webgroup will be coming to an end I have forwarded ideas to here:
Please if you hear of ANY events coming up can you enter them in the
diary/calendar section on here or on the website. It would be good
to just print off say aprils events/activities and their details in
one ago than printing off individual posts for each event.
I think it would be a good if each of us makes a list of all the
islamic literature/articles/cds/dvds etc we have that we would be
willing to lend each other. This would be good to access info others
have that others may not be able to get hold of or cant afford etc.
A sort of NTIG Library where you just email them if you would like to
borrow something. The good thing about the webgroup, we could set it
up in the 'database' section where we could have 3 columns:
1. member's name 2. their list of books etc (with author, publisher
etc) and 3. if its not available eg it's on loan...and maybe 4. some
comments on each book eg summary, if any good etc. And any new
literature we aquire we just add them to our list. I guess it would
be up to the individual who wants to borrow it to find out if its a
reputable source or the lenders pass it by the amir before entering
it into the database (although i think maybe too much to check
everyones sources)?
Whats your thoughts?
Also can anyone get hold of pocket size prayer time cards for the
year? I used to have an ISB one.

With regard to the prayer cards I've got one from Radio Ramadan a while ago.
If anyone knows the brothers or sisters there maybe you could ask them how to get a hold of them or even produce them yourselves.

Assalamu alaikum sister in Islam.
Very good ideas!
We'd need to consider how to work the lending though, as experience would indicate that often when we lend something, it seems to go off on some magical journey and never returns
We can discuss this in the group insha'Allah, but they are excellent ideas
As for the card sized prayer timetables, I'll look into it - but I think we should get some made up ourselves in due course similar to our prayer cards etc
